I’m new to Texas and Beryl was my first hurricane. I was so upset bc my pool looked like it would never recover. Jody and his lovely assistants came ASAP and within an hour is was back to it’s regular sparkling beauty. They go above and beyond any pool care I’ve had before. They are knowledgeable, fast, and can answer any question you have. I wouldn’t trust anyone else, I’m so glad I found them👌
I have used Jody and his team for numerous things, from fixing my heater to refurbishing my spa, and doing weekly maintenance. Unlike many of his competitors, Jody does exactly what he says he will do. He’s on time, he’s honest, and he’s dependable.
Thanks to Jody I know my pool is in good hands. I can always count on him to do what he says – when he says it will be done!!!

Our clients often have questions about their pools. We have answers.
Organic and metal staining of your pool's plaster surface can occur. Iron, copper or even magnesium stains discolor the plaster. Metals usually are in your fill water. It is important to test the water professionally once a month and add metal treatment as needed. Once metals are introduced to pool water, they interact with the chlorine and adhere to the plaster service. Acid wash results vary but is an easy way to clean up the plaster surface.
Cyanuric acid is crucial in maintaining the proper chlorine and sanitization of pool water. The level should be professionally tested at least once a month and adjustments made accordingly. If the level is too low, it will make it difficult to maintain chlorine in the pool. If the level is too high, there will not be adequate sanitation. The chlorine tablets used whether stabilized or non-stabilized are the main contributing factor of the stabilizer level in the pool water. The adequate level is between 20-60ppm. Once the level exceeds this range, water will have to be displaced and fresh water added to dilute the amount present in the water. The water will need to be rebalanced.
Calcium levels in your pool are always present. Once a month you want to get the level tested and adjusted as needed. If the level is too high, you will produce white scaly buildup. If it is too low, you will most likely shorten the life of the plaster. Sometimes adding a sequestering agent will help. Draining the pool some and rebalancing may be the best solution, taking into consideration the calcium levels from your fill water. Maintaining proper PH levels is always the best way to limit the effects of high calcium.
Your filter is the heartbeat of the pool. If your filter is dirty (high pressure) then the water will not circulate to filter out the pool entirely as needed. If it is a canister filter, you should clean every 3 months and DE filters every 6 months. The lower the pressure in the filter, the more flow you will have in the pool.
